Log 24

Log 23, bergs. The lifeforms beneath the ice are certainly something to behold. Many magnificent creatures swim beneath the glaciers on this muddy coast. One more stagnant species are bergs. Bergs are large filter feeders that slowly graze the coast. They are relatives of the terratops and share the trait of having portions of the habitat on them. Bergs produces a thick and sticky mucus from ports on the back, this mucus freezes into large sturdy icebergs that give this species camouflage. Bergs average about 30ft in length with the icebergs increasing in size as they age. Being filter feeders they don’t move all too much, opting to slowly float rather than seek out any food. While I’m not an expert in marine biology I do know from many missions that filter feeders are usually the largest in the ocean. That’s important to know as it can help with determining friend or foe on the fly.
