THE ARTIFACT

Luctus is a natural hybrid and is the only one with genetics that benefit rather than hinder him. He has six limbs with two layers of muscle like a lacopus but they’re long and thin like a human; his organs are a fusion of both species however they're combined in a way that actually functions unlike most other natural hybrids. Luctus’s luckiest draw was his brain, it is essentially a human brain and lacopus brain stitched together, the long thick neural network of the lacopus brain runs through his body while the parts of the human brain that allow for higher thought and processing remain in his skull. This dual brain gives Luctus the intelligence of a human and the bodily control of a lacopus; naturally, he became a gladiator to put his body to use. Starting out small in brawl bars he gained notoriety and started competing in any arena he could find. His high-octane life and title of a “perfect hybrid” gave Luctus an ego. He never listened to authority and liked making things a challenge for others. Eventually, he opened his own battle arena to invite challengers and hopefully find an opponent that could beat him in a fight. In his life no one could, he was the number one fighter in the galaxy; disappointed with the lack of a rival and growing bored of fighting he put himself in stasis until someone was worthy enough to face him. To this day he still lies while his arena continues to be the battleground for the galaxy’s greatest fighters. Rumor has it though that the new champion might awaken him.
