Humans and lacopus are forever linked with one another. This bond has lasted for millions of years, so it should be no surprise that romantic couples between the two species became common. While these couples lived happy lives together a problem arose when it came to children; since they are completely different species, the only option was to adopt. However, one day a company called Human and Lacopus Breeding Technology aimed to change that. By taking the genotypes of both parents and giving the child the phenotype of one parent these couples could have blood children of their own. Physically the kid looked like a sibling of the chosen parent but acted like a child of both parents. The technology was a huge success, and many used and still use it to this day. However, since it was so popular many humans and lacopus now have genes of the other, genetically making them subspecies of each other. Finding a pure version of the two is extremely difficult. This didn’t bother either species though due to their strong bond, making natural hybrids the only real issue with this technology; but even then, those are far and few and in between, thus making the breeding technology a symbol of the unbreakable bond between humans and lacopus.
