Log 17

Log 17, Trydoms. I have found the nocturnal predators! They are a family member of Lankidaes it seems. Both possess long arms, an Xray eye, and burrow in the ground. Trydoms are much larger though. At night they stalk for prey while underground, if their food tries to run they’ll leap out of the ground at high speeds. They also possess a spiral mouth; this helps with breaking through the tough dirt and with ensnaring prey. Turns out I’ve been seeing them during the day. When asleep, trydoms will leave their mouth exposed for ease of breathing. The fur on their bodies helps camouflage them, making them look like rocks while asleep. While the trydom is the biggest predator I’ve seen it is by no means the apex of this environment. The further we go the more skittish the creatures get. We might run into this beast soon.
